Timber Trail in Breckenridge
|
Located at the base of Breckenridge’s Peak 8 in the prestigious Timber Trail neighborhood, this Breckenridge estate is a combination of old world design and the latest sustainable technologies. The “Design Story” was of an old stone structure in the Northern Italian Alps that was centuries old. During World War II it was both occupied and bombed and lay abandoned to decay for decades until descendants of the original took what was left of the old stone walls and rebuilt.
This castle is a tribute to energy conservation and may be the largest ski town Zero Net Energy home in THE WORLD! Modeled to be Breckenridge’s first luxury Zero Net Energy Home despite itsĀ 6 Beds, 9 baths and 7000 square feet with a 1500 square foot garage, the owner refused to compromise on either aesthetics or energy conservation. This amazing home utilizes solar, geothermal exchange building and insulating technology which work seamlessly together via a one of a kind, whole house energy automation system. Can you believe, a HERS energy score approaching 0? Simply amazing!
